Furniture4Families.org is seeking highly motivated, part-time, Administrative Intern to assist with our fundraising, marketing and communication efforts. This is a great opportunity to work with a new non profit organization during the start up stages. The Administrative Intern will report to the Program Director
The Intern must possess a valid driver’s license and have regular access to a vehicle, and be available to work some evenings and weekends with a flexible, planned schedule.
Furniture4Families.org's mission is to provide furniture and household items to families in need. Furniture4Families.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes on and accomplishes a wide range of work, partnering with the mayor's office and local social service agencies.
Event planning administrative tasks for 2017 fundraisers
Meeting with retailers and potential sponsors for donations
Other administrative tasks- filing, mailing, etc.
Fundraising administrative support
Communications administrative support
Assist with furniture delivery scheduling and coordination
Minimum of 1 year of college coursework completed
Strong MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, thorough follow-up on tasks, ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of human service industry, desire to learn
The internship is a part-time,10-15 hours/week position. Days/hours per week are negotiable. Position requires consistent commitment and availability.
